In an effort to incorporate solutions associated with the Federally mandated flood insurance requirements, based on the reform act that went into effect in 1994, FRS is able to provide an avenue of relief. FRS assigns a caseworker to evaluate your individual case by gathering information from you as well as available sources in your area.  A written opinion will be issued to support our professional findings regarding your case.

The Preliminary Evaluation will inform the borrower of their available options. If our discoveries reveal you have a strong case, we can recommend proceeding with Phase I (see directory on the left) and we will advise the borrower as to the possibility of a complete removal from the Special Flood Hazard Area.

This service, at the very least, will broaden the understanding as to how the Mandatory Flood Insurance Requirements affect you, the borrower. We believe it is important for you to know whether you are accurately placed in the Special Flood Hazard Area. Until now, there have been no flood professionals for the individual consumer. The costs of hiring an attorney has discouraged the consumer from disputing their Mandatory Flood Insurance Requirement.

Time is of the essence. Although you are entitled to a refund of the current year’s premium or the difference in the event you receive a reduction, procrastination can result in the forfeiture of your refund.

The Preliminary Evaluation Fee is:    Residential $100.00    Commercial $250.00

The Evaluation requires 2 to 3 weeks to complete
